Learn to Ride Kids
This is an introductory course for parents wanting their children to learn to ride safely on a bicycle or increase their confidence and skills:
This fun and engaging course aims to provide a comprehensive program that will take the rider from complete beginner to being able to ride solo comfortably on their own and be able to signal, manoeuvre and start and stop a journey.
It includes:
How to ride safely
Correct clothing
How to fit helmet
Starting and stopping a journey
Balancing on the bike
Avoiding potholes & obstacles in the road
Signalling
Controlled stop and emergency stop
The course is either at the tennis courts on the Recreation Ground Road or Kent & East Sussex Railway in Tenterden and is 1.5 hours long and has a maximum of 10 children per lesson. Cost is £10 per session
Your instructor is a Kent County Council cycling instructor, first aid trained and is DBS checked.
