This is an introductory course for parents wanting their children to learn to ride safely on a bicycle or increase their confidence and skills as well as for the parents to learn how to ride as a family when out you are all out together
The course aims to provide a comprehensive program that will take the riders from complete beginner to being able to ride solo comfortably on their own and be able to signal, manoeuvre and start and stop a journey.
It includes:
How to ride safely
Correct clothing
How to fit helmet
Starting and stopping a journey
Balancing on the bike
Avoiding potholes & obstacles in the road
Signalling
Controlled stop and emergency stop
How to ride on the road as a family
The course is 1.5 hours long and has a maximum of 5 family members per lesson.
Bikes and helmets can hired.
Your instructor is former Kent County Council cycling instructor with insurance.
