This is an introductory course for parents wanting their children to learn to ride safely on a bicycle or increase their confidence and skills:

The course aims to provide a comprehensive program that will take the rider from complete beginner to being able to ride solo comfortably on their own and be able to signal, manoeuvre and start and stop a journey.

The course is in Tenterden at the tennis courts on the Recreation Ground Road and is 1.5 hours long and has a maximum of 5 children per lesson.

We popped into see Hukins Hops recently and really impressed with the plans and building works that are going on there. As well as the hop picking tours, there will be a taproom, restaurant and accomodation in the late summer. We Look forward to taking our cycling customers there soon.

"Absolutely cracking visit to The Old Dairy Brewery. Atmosphere was lovely, friendly and welcoming! Obviously a popular location as it got busier as the evening progressed! We did an e-bike tour with Wider Experience which came with a taster package of beers and a snack (scotch egg and pork pie) all of which was brilliant. Glenn, who dealt with the bike side of things, was incredibly helpful and communicative, and gave us a quick tutorial on the e-bikes before setting us off on a great little GPS route that took in some awesome local views, before heading back to the Tap room for a well deserved pint. Would recommend this whole-heartedly! Big thanks to you all for helping us reach 100 likes on Facebook.

We started Wider Experience just before the start of lockdown last year ( I know right 😳) and although it was a difficult start we are proud that we have started delivering on our promise get more people riding as we love cycling and want to help others ride too. We have helped very young children learn to ride, school children learn road safety, we have built teenager’s confidence and skills, we’ve taught silver surfers to ride again, got families enjoying riding together and even taught a few lorry drivers on the way. We’ve fixed bikes, loaned bikes and even bought a few 😉.

It has been magical to see the difference it makes to see riders of all ages benefiting from the simple pleasure of riding a bike, be it health, fitness, time with friends and family, ecofriendly and sustainable travel or just the chance to explore the beautiful countryside - whatever the reason we are here to help you get there 🚴🏼 🚴🏻‍♀️.

🎉🎉🎉🎉 So the big announcement we promised is we are offering a free cycling lesson to families in Kent and East Sussex - no catch, no email sign up and there is nothing extra to pay.

Only condition is it must be at least one parent & one child to count as a family.
